Kevin and Jessie are MARRIED at the Key Bridge Marriott!!!!! From the moment I met Jessie and Kevin we became immediate friends! They are romantics as revealed in their sweet love story. They met through mutual friends but didn’t start dating until a year later after attending a friend’s wedding. Their first date in June 2012 was in Dupont Circle and they ended up sitting by the Fountain and talking for hours! They had a late dinner at Krammerbooks and Afterwords and shared their first Kiss on the Metro escalator heading home. In the Autumn of 2013, Jessie went to Kevin’s hometown of Cincinnati to meet his family. The first night, they saw “Of Mice and Men” performed by the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. After the performance, Kevin walked with Jessie to the statue of Hamlet (a pig dressed like the Shakespeare character- and popped the question!
All the little wedding day details were so special! Even their wedding invitations were delightful with two lovebirds perched on a golden branch! The Key Bridge Marriott Capital Ballroom has a magnificiant skyline view of Georgetown and the monument in Washington DC. This was the ideal setting for their delightful reception brunch! Their wedding color palette choice was rich tones of lavender and green.
Special details were the state of Virginia cutout for their guests to sign well wishes! A gold-framed chalkboard was displayed for the couple to acknowledge the bridal party and loved ones. The Alexandria Pastry Shop wedding cake was decorated in hundreds of lavender medallions of love. They did forego floral centerpieces for unique glass bowls filled with succulents. The succulent centerpieces were placed on mirrored chargers with four votive on each guest table. This was a perfect eco-friendly wedding centerpiece for this Washington DC wedding with a cosmopolitan view of Georgetown and Washington!
