Washington DC Event and Conference Photographer – Gilroy Photography

The Right Event photographer can create a “Buzz” for your Conference!

I’m Donna Gilroy, a Wedding + Event Photographer of Gilroy Photography based in Northern Virginia. I have launched a new Gilroy Photography LLC website to expand my photography business with more amazing conference events. As an experienced professional Wedding Photographer you develop an eye for capturing the important moments. You are always observing and can predict when to and how to get that perfect shot. As a photographer I have develop a keen eye for moments that often last a fraction of a second! These honed skills transfer well when I photograph other types of events. Events like conferences require a photojournalist style of creating dynamic photographs that capture the stance, eye contact, hand gestures or facial expressions of the speakers. The use of negative and positive space with layers of visual interest to capture the energy of the event.

Professional dynamic event photographs are a vital part of your communications to your industry and your social media strategy. The photography will project the strengths and success of your conference. When you review your photographs they should create a “Buzz” about your industry and your experts in the field. In addition, during a conference event the attendees are in some respects as important as the esteemed speakers because they show the reaction to the energy of the event. It can be laughter, applause, or serious contemplation of the speakers conversation that is so important to capture at an event. The networking between groups is essential to give a sense of the energy of the day. As an event photographer you are telling the story of the conference event day from the begin, middle and closing of the conference.

Conference Event Photography is all about portraiture of individuals who are experts in their fields. Capturing the Keynote Speaker and the moments during their speaking are vital. Knowing the event agenda before I begin photographing is important to capture all the activities of the day.

Your photographs should capture the essence of the Conference Event and tell the story of the Agenda and Mission of the Event. Creating a Visual Story to create a “Buzz” about the organization and their work leading to interest in next year’s conference event! Capturing the marketing signage and presentation visuals in shots can create great photographs. Including Vendor booths and their company representatives give complete coverage of the event opportunities.

Gilroy Photography is excited to offer conference event photography coverage to diversify our company. Gilroy Photography works to build strong relationships with our clients and deliver creative dynamic images that promote the goals of your amazing conference events. Reach out to Contact info@gilroyphotography.com today with details about your event to check my availability and receive an estimate. Event photography is an important investment for your event and you should chose a photographer who delivers exceptional quality and creative images.

St Regis DC Wedding | Julia and David | Washington DC Photographer

Julia and David were married on a gorgeous sunny day in October with blue skies and a gentle breeze! Talk about a PERFECT Fall Wedding in Washington, DC!! Julia was radiant in her Pronovias gown and David was dapper in his classic black tux. I was honored to photograph at The St Regis – the gorgeous ballroom and the Astor Terrace capture that old world style of elegance!

Enjoy this glimpse into this amazing couple’s St. Regis Wedding that was such an elegant black tie affair, filled with such a heartfelt joy and a celebration filled with champagne toasts that brought joyful tears and laughter!

Michael & Susan | Hilton Garden Inn Fairfax, Virginia Wedding Photographer

I absolutely adore these two! Their laughter and joy is contagious! I got to know Mike and Susy photographing their Middleburg engagement session and knew right away their wedding would be amazing! This wedding may be one of the most relaxed and joyful weddings ever. Their ceremony was held at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, a little white church in Chantilly, Virginia. The church lawn was a perfect setting for bridal party portraits after a beautiful ceremony.

The couple held their cocktail hour at the Hilton accompanied by the guitar soloist Steve Ferguson. Their reception was rockin’ at the Hilton full of so much love and laughter of friends and family from near and far! The brilliant red bridal bouquets and red heart accent with black formal attire made for a gorgeous wedding day!

Candra & Eric | Old Town Alexandria Engagement Session

I couldn’t wait to share a sneak peek of Candra & Eric’s engagement photo session! I had so much fun with these two lovebirds in historic Old Town Alexandria!

It started out as one of the hottest summer days, but as we starting walking the streets of Old Town Alexandria there was a slight breeze and the temperatures cooled a bit as we approached Prince Street. Candra and Eric just naturally make one another smile. It’s so fun to walk around with a couple that you feel like you have known for a really long time! We talked about the wedding, how they met, and how he proposed, and what they are most excited about. These two will be getting married at the beautiful Piedmont Club in the Spring of next year!

I hope you enjoy this summery Old Town Alexandria engagement!! If you think these two look amazing, just remember that they look THIS happy and THIS in love in the midst of hot Virginia summer temperatures! So impressive! I can’t wait for the wedding!

Susie & Mike’s Engagement Session in Middleburg, Virginia

The quaint historic town of Middleburg was the ideal setting for this relaxed and fun loving couple’s engagement session. We visited the Goodstone inn, The Red Fox Tavern, The Stray Fox, and the sidewalks and cobblestone streets to Main Street. We ended our day stopping at the Greenhill Winery on the way out of Middleburg enjoying the breeze up on the hill overlooking the mountains and grapevines. Susie and Mike’s engagement session was full of fun and laughter on this gorgeous summer day full of dappled sunlight and warm breezes.

Gina & Sebastian | Westfields Marriott Wedding

Today I am sharing the absolutely stunning Wedding of Gina & Sebastian at the elegant Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia! I can say that this is going to be one of my classic Gilroy Photography weddings of all time! The couple chose Coral & Navy colors and a beautiful setting with classic architecture and lovely details! This wedding was coordinated by Monica at Westfields Marriott and attention was given down to the simplest details. The gorgeous blooms by Rick's Flowers and the magnificent cake and miniature cakes for each guest were lovingly created by the groom's amazing brother Jesse. Every detail was considered to make this a magical day filled with family, friends & love.

Gina & Sebastian thank you for the honor of photographing your amazing Wedding! Enjoy reliving your amazing day! Donna Gilroy
